Advisory Groups
|
NACCHO's advisory groups are made up of members from the local health departments across the country in order to engage them in NACCHO's vision for public health. NACCHO's vision is 'health, equity, and well-being for all people in their communities through public health policies and service'. By getting involved with NACCHO's advisory groups members have the opportunity to work with their peers, network at a national level and they are a vehicle for members to influence the organization operation direction through their expertise and experience.
If you have question regarding the advisory group appointment process please refer to the FAQ's below or contact Maggie English at menglish@naccho.org.
Each year, NACCHO provides orientation for advisory group members to give an overview of the association's work, the purpose and function of the advisory groups, and an opportunity to hear the experiences of seasoned participants. The 2009–2010 orientation is now available to view via slidecast on this Web site using the link below. This link will also take you to a page where you can download current orientation materials including a strategic map, a list of member responsibilities, and more.
