QI Example: Green River District Health Department


For those ready to apply quality improvement (QI) to agency functions, this resource provides an example of a QI process from beggining to end. This case example shows how the Green River District Health Department (GRDHD) used QI tools and techniques, including a Fishbone Diagram, Process Mapping and data charts, to establish a media strategy to inform staff ("internal customers") about the public health outreach efforts made by the Department. Through weekly e-mails, all employees were updated on when TV segments were scheduled to air and when articles were to be published in local newspapers.
