In 2007, the Cambridge Advanced Practice Center for Emergency Preparedness developed a series of pictograms designed to promote universal access to emergency dispensing sites services. The signs were developed in collaboration with local and state public health professionals, and experts in universal design and accessibility.
The materials on this CD include a training series for dispensing site staff and volunteers and pictogram based signs and pocket communicator. These tools are designed to facilitate communication and to promote universal access to dispensing sites and other mass care services. They were developed in collaboration with experts in universal design & accessibility, as well as local and state health professionals. The contents can be downloaded or provided to a print shop.
