Emergency Response Communication Tool for Special Needs Population in Calvert County

The objective of the project was to develop a communication tool for emergency response for the special needs population (SNP) in Calvert County. This was accomplished by meeting with the county Emergency Operation Center, defining the SNP, identifying SNP agencies, surveying SNP agencies and SNPs. Identification of the SNP allowed the county to update the list of SNP in the county for use during emergencies. The project also assisted in the creation of a "reverse 911" emergency notification system.
