Identifying Legal and Administrative Authority

Description:

All-Hazards response plans for local health departments should provide a description of the legal and administrative authority under which they would respond to an emergency requiring a public health response.

This document from Pima County Health Department comprehensively describes this authority and includes citations of applicable statutes and administrative rules governing the plan’s creation and use. 

This document was submitted as evidence for Measure 1 of a Project Public Health Ready application in 2010 and can be used as an example for current applicants.
