Creating Healthy Corner Stores in the District of Columbia

Description:

This report summarizes the challenges involved in creating healthy corner stores in the District’s food deserts and recommends solutions to those challenges. Both the challenges and the solutions described draw on research in Ward 7 and 8 stores and the expertise of the Food Research and Action Center and the Food Trust, as well as the insights of partner agencies, organizations, and community members.
