Chapter 3: Screening and Testing
|
In spring 2010, NACCHO conducted in-person interviews with 10 select local health departments (LHDs) to identify strategies LHDs used to execute the CDC Adult HBV Vaccination Initiative and lessons learned. The information in this fact sheet presents factors LHDs found helpful, challenges encountered, or lessons learned while screening clients for HBV (Screening refers to determining clients' eligibility to be vaccinated by assessing risk, and testing refers to serologic laboratory testing to determine whether a client has incident or past HBV infection).
