Regional SNS Workshops: Resources
|
Tools Shared Workshop participants shared over 60 tools that their health departments have developed and found useful in their SNS planning and implementation efforts. These tools are available in NACCHO’s STOCKbox, a dynamic, online compendium of SNS Tools and Resources developed and shared by local and state SNS and preparedness planners. Visit and bookmark STOCKbox at www.naccho.org/stockbox. Report of Promising Practices This 2007-2008 Regional SNS Workshops: Selected Presentations report shines a spotlight on several of the presentations from the six regional SNS workshops. The workshops featured dozens of presentations from local and state health agency staff describing how their jurisdictions are addressing SNS planning challenges. The report details a sampling of promising practices related to educating the public, coordinating at the inter- and intrastate level, utilizing volunteers, including at-risk populations, and building public-private partnerships. 2007-2008 Regional SNS Workshops: Selected Presentations is one tool of disseminating these promising practices beyond the workshop participants with the aim of improving SNS readiness nationwide.
