Emergency Preparedness Policy Issues

NACCHO has two goals in its work on policy issues specific to emergency preparedness:

To provide candid input to federal government agencies developing preparedness policies and programs that have an impact on local public health agencies.
To communicate relevant information regarding these federal policy initiatives to local public health agencies.

To achieve these goals, NACCHO works with a variety of federal entities, including CDC, HRSA, and the Department of Homeland Security, and collaborates with other non-governmental partners.
