NACCHO developed two resources to help local health departments (LHDs) address hazardous waste concerns in their neighborhoods. One uses environmental health education activities to develop partnerships between LHDs and the communities they serve. The other aims to improve interagency collaboration among federal, state, and local agencies and groups working to address hazardous waste sites. The resources were developed through a cooperative agreement with the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry.
