Project Overview: Carson City Health and Human Services (CCHHS) serves an urban and rural population. CCHHS was a beta test site for the Public Health Accreditation Board’s (PHAB’s) voluntary national accreditation program in 2010. As part of the beta test process, sites completed a QI project to address an area identified through their self-assessment. CCHHS’s goal was to improve lab auditing findings by developing and refining a quality assessment tool for regular internal audits of the on-site laboratory.
